I am a firm believer that what you watch, listen to, read, and who you hang around, has an impact on your spirit (whole body) - emotionally, spiritually, and physically.
Developing yourself in mind, body, and spirit (academically, spiritually, socially and physically) from my experience comes about from being compassionate, respectful, independent, curious, resilient, creative, innovative, open to self-improvement, having integrity, being of service to others, having a sense of community and collaboration, caring for the wellbeing of others, engaging in life, knowing your own identity, living your life’s mission, criticality thinking about your responsibilities in situations and taking accountability, and striving to represent yourself in the best light possible.
Sometimes we must take a leap of faith when do not know how things will turn out. There are no rewards in life if we do not take risks, same as we do not grow if we stay in our comfort zones. Growth is a journey; we were sent to the school of earth to learn and experience lessons so that we can become our best and highest self – so we should proceed with faith and kick fear to the curb.
If you are being pulled in two different directions due to an old lifestyle that you have been holding onto out of fear of moving into a more fulfilling new lifestyle, then you should do some introspection.
If you are acting immature; not being responsible or taking accountability; engaging in instant gratification; or taking the easy path road in life because of the way you present yourself to the world, I suggest that you reflect about is this and ask yourself the following questions.
Is this really the proper way for me to be?
What will I miss out on, if I do not make the required changes?
How long will this be fruitful for?
Am I doing this to please others?
Am I honouring myself in the best way?
Do I need to forgive myself or others about some type of disappointment?
Am I trying to live up to society standards?
Am I thinking about my past failures and mistakes?
If you ponder these questions, give yourself some grace and compassion, analyse the answer to these question and then take the more responsible path by developing a growth mindset then I believe that you can achieve a level of stability and abundance (spiritual and temporal) more than you can imagine and you can become the type of person that people will rely on, you just need to take that leap of faith.
