For a relationship to be successful long term, Men must take the lead.
Women are often in their masculine energy in their professional lives and forget that in their personal life for a relationship to be successful long term, it is best to let the man lead in the relationship.
For both men and women knowing when to be in their feminine and masculine energy is a delicate balance. However, from my experience when men do not lead when they should, leads to a woman being forced to do so, and the man’s lack of leadership will eventually lead to her resenting and controlling the man or causing the end of the relationship.
What is a Man’s role in a relationship?
A man's role in a relationship is to lead, create a positive environment of mutual respect and teamwork.
He does this firstly by making the first approach, starting a conversation, asking for a date, asking the right questions, and even lead the first kiss.
He builds attraction by demonstrating strong values about himself and his attitude towards the relationship and his (potential) girlfriend. He is not jealous or needy and he has a purpose in life that drives and satisfies him. He wants a relationship, not to complete him, but to compliment his life and to share the exciting experiences he creates for himself.
These behaviors allow him to lead naturally and the new woman in his life is excited to follow him through his life experiences, and he is confident to follow her through hers. This mutual respect ultimately turns into teamwork, with the couple supporting and fighting for each other, and a natural sense of balance in the leadership roles.
How do Men Lose the Leadership Role Over Time?
When he loses his sense of purpose and is no longer building his life by no longer creating experiences to share his life with her.
How can a Man fix this?
• Have a definite purpose for your life.
• Build your life.
• Create experiences that you can share with your partner.
• Demonstrate internal strength or values.
• Clear direction – let the woman that you want to take the lead in relation to decision-making and the direction of the relationship, so that you can navigate challenges you will face together.
• Sense of Security – let the woman know that you will provide a stable foundation for her to lean on during uncertain times.
• Initiating and Planning - initiate dates, planning surprises, and creating memorable experiences.
• Strength and Support - offer a protective presence that can be reassuring.
To be a successful leader the man needs to have a definite purpose in life that is significant and by him keeping true to this purpose allows him to stay internally strong, eliminate neediness and dependent behavior, and keep him desirable for his woman.
